Keep your diffuser working at its best with a quick and simple cleaning routine.
Although our fragrances are 100% natural and crafted for purity, occasional maintenance ensures your diffuser continues to perform beautifully — and safely.
Safety First: Before You Start
Even though our formulas are natural, plant-based and non-toxic, they are highly concentrated. Please follow these precautions:
Avoid direct contact with eyes or mouth.
Do not ingest. Keep vials and diffuser parts away from children and pets.
Wear gloves if you have sensitive skin. Prolonged skin contact may cause mild irritation.
Always clean in a well-ventilated area.
Keep out of reach of children.
Step-by-Step Cleaning Instructions
What You’ll Need:
Clean hands (or gloves)
A soft cloth or paper towel
Clean, room temperature orwarm water (no soap or alcohol)
Optional: cotton swab for tight spots
Step 1: Power Off and Remove the Vial
Unplug or switch off the diffuser.
Let it cool for a few minutes if it’s been running.
Gently remove the fragrance vial from the diffuser and set it aside upright.
Step 2: Detach the Scent Pipe
Carefully separate the scent pipe (also called the absorption tube) from the diffuser.
Take note of which end goes into the vial — this is important for reassembly.
The pipe contains a built-in filter, located at the end that absorbs fragrance.
Step 3: Check for Blockages
Look closely at both ends of the pipe.
If you see oil buildup or a blockage, it could be limiting fragrance flow.
This is common and easy to fix.
Step 4: Rinse the Pipe
Run room temperature or warm water through the pipe from both ends to clear any residue. (No need for soap — just water is enough.)
Shake gently to remove excess water and let it air dry for a few minutes.
Step 5: Reattach the Pipe Correctly
Reinsert the pipe with the filter positioned at the bottom — the end that goes into the vial.
Push gently but firmly until it's securely connected to the diffuser.
Step 6: Test & Enjoy
Reinsert the fragrance vial.
Plug in or turn on your diffuser.
Within minutes, you should notice the scent returning to normal.
Pro Tips:
Clean your diffuser every 8 weeks if used regularly.
If you switch between fragrances, give your pipe a quick rinse in between to prevent overlap.
Always use Nature Scents fragrances with your diffuser. Other products may damage internal parts or affect scent diffusion performance.
